Intercam Banco and Pasitos de Luz channel creativity to change lives
As part of our work and our commitment as a Socially Responsible Company (SRC), on November 15 we participated in the signing of art work by the artist Kathleen Carrillo organized by the non-profit organization Pasitos de Luz in Puerto Vallarta Jalisco, which helps children with special needs.
We were very proud to be official sponsors of this event, in which children were able to express their creativity by intervening ten paintings by the artist, who with great sensitivity and excitement guided the children’s hands, filling each line with brushstrokes of love and affection so that–amid applause–the children were able to experience the satisfaction of seeing each work finished.
During the activity, Jason Branch Lavender, director of our branches in Puerto Vallarta, thanked Pasitos de Luz on behalf of our institution for the tremendous effort it makes through its therapy and assistance programs for more than 100 children and their families, which range from psychological and physical therapy to nutrition, wellness, music and arts, among others.
Pasitos de Luz announced that the ten paintings will be exhibited together with a commemorative plaque at Casa Connor, the association’s headquarters in Bahía de Banderas, Nayarit, which has served to bring joy and happiness to the children of Pasitos de Luz in the form of a magic castle.
We at Intercam Banco are concerned about social and environmental issues, the community and our employees. That is why our commitment as a SRC is to continue joining in the effort to make Mexico an inclusive country with better opportunities for all.
